As we move into Spring Break, there are many things families can do to help your children over the holiday. Here are some tips:
1. Maintain some routines. This will also help make the transition back to school easier.
2. Experts say children should read at least 30 minutes per day over holidays to avoid falling behind. This can be books, comic books, recipes, etc. What ever they have an interest in! For younger children who are just learning to read... read with them or have them 'practice' reading. Set aside a daily reading 'routine.'
3. Mathletics - make use of Dufferin's Mathletics program online.
4. LearnNowBC - an online site that has many, many resources for parents and children. Including advice and tutoring. Just click on the link.
